Do you know what you can do to prevent child abuse?
• |
Talk with children about how to tell someone they trust if anyone hurts them. |
• |
Learn about the signs of child abuse and what to do if you suspect a child may be abused. |
• |
Know how to report child abuse. |
• |
Let elected officials know you care about laws and resources available to protect our kids. |
• |
Support child abuse prevention efforts in schools, churches, and community organizations. |
• |
Make a cash or in-kind donation to organizations that support at-risk children and their families. |
• |
Volunteer your time and talents to agencies trying to make a difference in children’s lives. |
• |
Support parents, lend a hand or ear, fix a meal, babysit or provide other support that reduces stress that can lead to abuse. All parents need support! |
